Hello, Since a couple of weeks, I get the following unexpected failure in my logs. Sometimes everyMinute and I have no idea whats the reason for this problem: Process: mssdmn.exe Area: SharePoint Portal Server Category: Business Data EventID: 7xzd Level: Unexpected SQLException while Executing the cache invalidation simple timer job. We will not abort the job, and will retry in 60 seconds: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Die gespeicherte Prozedur 'proc_ar_GetCacheInvalidationCountersWithCount' wurde nicht gefunden. (In English: The stored procedure 'proc_ar_GetCacheInvalidationCountersWithCount' cant be found) StackTrace: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) System.Data.SqlClient.SqlInternalConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning(TdsParserStateObject stateObj) System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.Run(RunBehavior runBehavior, SqlCommand cmdHandler, SqlDataReader dataStream, BulkCopySimpleResultSet bulkCopyHandler, TdsParserStateObject stateObj) System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.ConsumeMetaData() System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.get_MetaData() System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.FinishExecuteReader(SqlDataReader ds, RunBehavior runBehavior, String resetOptionsString) System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteReaderTds(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream, Boolean async) System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteReader(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream, String method, DbAsyncResult result) System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteReader(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream, String method) System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior behavior, String method) System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior behavior) Microsoft.Office.Server.Data.SqlSession.ExecuteReader(SqlCommand command, CommandBehavior behavior) Microsoft.Office.Server.Data.SqlSession.ExecuteReader(SqlCommand command) Microsoft.Office.Server.ApplicationRegistry.Infrastructure.CacheInvalidationStateTracker.CheckStatus(Object stateInfo) Does anybody have any idea, how to solve this problem?? Thanks in advance, Mathias / Berlin

Hi Mathias -- Have you found any leads on killing this error? I have been attempting to track down the root cause of the same error on my farm. Below is the general chain of log posts I am seeing. I have cliped out some fo the verbose content. Mathias (And other readers),Three important questions and I can probably tell you what the cause of the problem is:1) Which version of Sharepoint 2007 do you have ? SPS 3.0 , Sharepoint Standard Edition or Sharepoint Enterprise Edition2) Is your Sharepoint 2007 version installed over a BETA version ?3) Do you have an official Hotfix from Microsoft installed ? If so which version ?

I'm having the same problem also. Just curious...Where you are going with this?

What I've come up with is the following: For as far as I know this problem occurs only in the Standard Edition of MOSS 20007. We are using MOSS 2007 Standard Edition. During the installation it fails to install all procedures beginning with proc_ar. Also the tables adressed by these procedures are not installed. When you select to upgrade to Enterprise license these procedures and tables are installed and the problem is fixed execpt for the fact that you have to upgrade you license model. Workaround: On a TEST system install MOSS 2007 SE. Select the Enterprise license so the scripts and tables are installed. Extract the procedures and tables from the SQL database and install/import them in your desired environment. NOTE: I suggest that you test this procedure thoroughly beforte you perform these actions in your PRODUCTION environment. Also I've heard that this problem is fixed in SP1 which is scheduled for Q1 2008 Hopes this helps you.

We're seeing the same entries in our logs. We are running Standard Edition, we have not tried to upgrade it to enterprise. Have there been any other resolutions to this since 2007?

I know this is kind of old, but... I saw this error when I had the CONFIG DB drive filled up.... This was a DEV server, so I shrank some DB log files, and removed a large DB, rebooted the WFE, and it seemed to fix it. Just figured I'd share.Joshua Fuente Farm Administrator SharePoint Products & Technologies
